Lifehouse Development is a technology consulting and custom software studio in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We work withnonprofits, churches, and other mission-driven organizations first — and with the small teams and founders who need a fractional CTO but not a full-time one: people doing work that matters, usually without a technical leader on staff to trust.
We believe healthy things grow — and they need the right structure to grow on. We started Lifehouse to be that structure: a studio that speaks plainly, prices honestly, builds the smallest thing that works, and hands you the keys at the end. Your mission shapes the software, not the other way around.

At Lifehouse Development, the person you meet on the discovery call is the person who maps your problem, writes the blueprint, builds the software, and answers the phone when something breaks. That continuity is deliberate. Nothing gets lost in translation between a salesperson, a project manager, and a developer — because on your project, they're the same person.
It also means honest capacity. We take on a small number of projects at a time, tell you up front when the next start date is, and never staff your project with someone you've never met. When a project needs a skill outside our lane — illustration, copywriting, a specialized integration — we bring in trusted collaborators and tell you exactly who they are.
Lifehouse Development LLC is a software development studio and technology consultancy in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area, founded in 2024. It is unrelated to the senior living, assisted living, foster care, and housing organizations that share the Lifehouse name.
If you'd rather hire a big agency, we'll respect that. But if you want your software built by the person who actually understands your mission, that's what this is.
